Margaret Boucher, Psy.D.

Supervisor & Licensed Clinical Psychologist (CA License 26480)

Hi, I’m Margaret Boucher. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in California, providing therapy to adults, families, and children, as well as supervision and consultation for professionals. I take a depth-oriented approach that honors both conscious and unconscious processes and is deeply attentive to the ways relationships shape our development and growth.

My approach is warm, curious and engaged. I work from a liberatory lens that honors the many personal, familial, and cultural experiences that shape who we are, while acknowledging the larger systemic forces that impact us all in unique ways. In embracing the transpersonal, I also attend to how people experience meaning, connection, and growth beyond the ordinary sense of self. My practice is LGBTQ+ inclusive and welcoming of clients across diverse relationship structures and expressions of sexuality.

I earned my Master’s from Columbia University and my doctorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), where I also serve as an Associate Professor. I am continually inspired by what becomes possible in the co-created, relational space of therapy, teaching, and supervision, and my work is enriched by my own relationships and community.

Who comes to see me?

I work with people navigating depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, grief, pregnancy loss, parenting support, and other concerns.

Evi Ellias

Psychological Associate (CA - 94028122)

As a depth therapist, I believe many of our struggles — in relationships, at work, in how we understand ourselves — stem from unconscious patterns we did not choose and often cannot fully see. Working with individuals and couples, I draw on relational, psychodynamic, and Jungian approaches, including dream work, to help clients come to know the parts of themselves they have repressed or set aside.

Much of my work centers on how early relationships and attachment experiences continue to shape the ways we love, protect ourselves, and connect with others. I help clients recognize the old defenses and unresolved conflicts that surface in these patterns, and support them in building new, healthier ways of relating. At the core of this process is the therapeutic relationship itself: a steady, honest space where clients can move toward greater self-compassion and a life that feels more fully their own.
